The Catskill Scenic Trail is located in New York State on the western side of the Catskill Mountains. It runs along the
West Branch of the Delaware River and New York State Routes 10 and 23.
The Trail can be accessed at various points but we recommend you use designate parking area. You will find parking at
the historic Stamford Depot at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and South Street in the Village of Stamford. There
is also a parking lot north of Route 10, just east of the village of Bloomville. If you opt to access the trail at other
grade crossings, please be careful. Park on the side of the road and do not block the flow of traffic, driveways, fire
hydrants or the Trail.
The Catskill Scenic Trail is marked with octagonal signs that show the distance to the trailhead in the diretion you are
facing. While there is only a four hundred foot change in elevation over the entire 19 miles, Stamford is the peak and
it is downhill in both directions from there.
